Adam Brubacher earns second Atlantic Hockey Defensive Player of the Week honor

Freshman defenseman Adam Brubacher (Elmira, Ontario/Powell River Kings) of the RIT men's hockey team, was named the Atlantic Hockey Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, for the week ending Jan. 15, 2017. It is Brubacher's second weekly accolade of the 2016-17 season.

Brubacher tallied three points on a goal and two assists, was plus-2 and blocked three shots in a weekend split at American International College. Friday, Brubacher scored the big insurance goal early in the third period and added an assist and was plus-2 in a 5-0 win. Saturday, he added an assist and blocked three shots in a 5-3 loss. Brubacher leads all Atlantic Hockey rookies with 15 points in league play and is an incredible plus-14 in 17 league games.
