Amanda Cook earns Liberty League Softball weekly accolades

Amanda Cook of the RIT softball team earned Liberty League Softball weekly accolades on Monday, for the week ending May 1, 2016. Cook was named the Liberty League Player of the Week.

Cook hit .526 (10-for-19) with nine runs scored, three doubles, a home run, and seven RBIs to go along with three stolen bases, as RIT clinched its first ever Liberty League playoff berth. She also recorded a .591 on-base percentage and an .842 slugging percentage. Cook went 4-for-8 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored at Fredonia Wednesday. On Thursday, Cook was 4-for-6 with a home run, four RBIs, and four runs scored in a sweep at Medaille. Saturday, Cook hit the crucial go-ahead two-run double and scored in game one of a 3-0 win over St. Lawrence and was singled, scored, and drove in a run in the game two win that clinched a playoff berth.
