Amelia Ying named Liberty League Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week

Freshman Amelia Ying (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) of the RIT women's tennis team was named the Liberty League Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week on Monday, for the week ending April 10, 2016. It is Ying's second weekly honor of the season.

Ying went 3-0 at first singles for the Tigers. On Monday, she easily dispatched Jean McCarthy of Nazareth, 6-1, 6-0. Saturday, Ying dispatched Emily Laurilliard of Rensselaer, 6-2, 6-3 and earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Natalia Pronchick of Union on Sunday. Ying is now 5-4 at first singles this season.
