Brian Reed earns 2016 All-Liberty League accolades

Brian Reed of the RIT baseball team earned 2016 All-Liberty League postseason honors, as the league announced its annual awards on Tuesday, May 17. Reed was a honorable mention selection.

Reed started eight games on the mound in 2016, going 2-3 with a 4.35 ERA with 44 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched. On April 30, Reed threw his first collegiate shutout, allowing four hits with strikeouts in a 5-0 win over University of Rochester. He struck out at least six batters in five starts this season.

The Tigers finished the 2016 season with an 18-22 overall record, finishing fifth in the Liberty League standings with a 12-12 mark.
