Casira Copes Receives 2014 Leadership Award from #RIT

Casira Copes, daughter of Cassandra Copes of Elkton, Md., and Sophron Chin of Bear, Del., received the Isaac L. Jordan Sr. Scholarship Award and Frederick Douglass Memorial Scholarship Award from Rochester Institute of Technology during a ceremony April 2. The Jordon Scholarship is for humanitarian students who celebrate differences and allow individuals to develop to their fullest potential. The Douglass Scholarship is for students who display leadership characteristics, awareness and appreciation of diversity.

Casira is a first-year student studying advertising and public relations .
