2018 Mar 30

Four games developed by Rochester Institute of Technology students were showcased at the 2018 Game Developers Conference in in San Francisco last week.

Matthew Barry and team worked on MetroGnome, a rhythm-based defense game for tablets and mobile devices that teaches users the basic principles of rhythm.

GDC is the world's largest professional gaming industry event of the year. The conference is a key learning and networking opportunity for both aspiring and professional game developers.

"GDC is an amazing opportunity for our students to make essential connections with those in the industry, sharpen their presentation and interviewing skills so early in their careers, and serve as ambassadors for RIT's top-notch programs," said Jennifer Hinton, chief communications officer of RIT's MAGIC Spell Studios.
