George Peterson of Henrietta, N.Y., Named as RIT Distinguished Alumnus

ROCHESTER, NY (03/26/2013)(readMedia)-- George Peterson IV of Henrietta, N.Y., is the recipient of a 2013 Rochester Institute of Technology Distinguished Alumni Award.

Peterson, who graduated from RIT in 1988 with a degree in computer engineering technology, is an analog field application engineer for Texas Instruments, where he assists electronics companies throughout upstate New York with the design of electronic circuits. He has been an active member of RIT's Computer Engineering Technology Industrial Advisory Board and he has worked with Texas Instruments engineering and management teams to recruit RIT students.

Each year, RIT's leaders select one graduate from each of the university's nine colleges who embodies the best of RIT. This year, nine distinguished alumni stand out among the more than 111,000 accomplished graduates for celebrating creativity and demonstrating a passionate performance in their profession.
