Haley Leet of Jeffersonville, Ind. Named Winner In National Arts Competition

Rochester Institute of Technology's National Technical Institute for the Deaf has announced the winners of their annual Digital Arts, Film and Animation Competition for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Students.

Haley Leet of Jeffersonville, Ind. a senior at Indiana School for the Deaf, in Indianapolis, won first-place in the Film category for "Bloody Tears."

The contest, in its sixth year, resulted in more than 60 entries in film/animation, graphic media and photo imaging.

The winner of each category receives $250, a plaque, plus transportation and lodging for two to the awards ceremony in July in Rochester, N.Y. Students who earned an "honorable mention" will receive plaques in the mail. The winning works will be exhibited in the Joseph F. and Helen C. Dyer Arts Center on the RIT campus.
