Jon Roberts of Great Falls, Va., Named as RIT Distinguished Alumnus

ROCHESTER, NY (03/26/2013)(readMedia)-- Jon Roberts of Great Falls, Va., is the recipient of a 2013 Rochester Institute of Technology Distinguished Alumni Award.

Roberts, who graduated from RIT in 1970 with a degree in imaging science, is a senior partner in the Marbury Law Group, where he practices in security clearance law, patent, copyright and trademarks. He has counseled, tried and documented more than 100 security clearance cases and submissions for applicants for security clearances for U.S. government agencies. He personally holds more than 50 U.S. and foreign patents and he counsels U.S. and foreign clients on development and protection of intellectual property.

Each year, RIT's leaders select one graduate from each of the university's nine colleges who embodies the best of RIT. This year, nine distinguished alumni stand out among the more than 111,000 accomplished graduates for celebrating creativity and demonstrating a passionate performance in their profession.
