RIT Curling wins consolation bracket

RIT Curling captured the consolation bracket at the 2018 USA Curling College Championship in Eau Claire, Wisc., March 9-11.

James Reilly was among team members representing the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers.

RIT opened the weekend with a tough game against a good opponent from the University of Nebraska who would eventually go on to play in the championship final. The game came down to the last rock, and unfortunately RIT opened with a loss. They finished pool play with a 1-2 record, dropping them from the championship bracket.

In the consolation bracket, RIT beat Wayne State (12-6), beat Hamilton College (9-1), and then captured the Consolation Championship with a 10-5 win over the University of Oklahoma to finish the weekend with a 4-2 record.
