RIT's Natalie Snyder named Liberty League Women's Diver of the Week

2016 Jan 27

Senior Natalie Snyder of the RIT women's swimming and diving team was named the Liberty League Women's Diver of the Week on Monday, for the week ending Jan. 24, 2016. It is Snyder's second weekly honor of the 2015-16 season and third of her career. Snyder broke both RIT diving records on Saturday against the University of Rochester at Judson Pool. Snyder began the day by crushing her own school record (previously 293.15, set last season) in the 1-meter diving by just under 35 points with an incredible score of 328.05. She won the event by nearly 55 points. In the 3-meter, Snyder broke former teammate Sam Huselstein's school mark of 256.95 with a score of 264.75. Incredibly, Synder did not earn the outright win, as Danielle Neu of Rochester recorded an identical score of 264.75 for the tie. On Tuesday, Snyder dominated in the diving boards vs. William Smith. In the 1-meter dive, she picked up 270.50 points, then finished the sweep with a 262.50 in the 3-meter dive.
