Rachel Kobel earns 2015-16 Liberty League Winter All-Academic Team honors

Liberty League commissioner Tracy King has announced that 236 winter sport student-athletes have qualified for the league's 2015-16 All-Academic Teams in their respective sports. Twenty-eight RIT student-athletes earned All-Academic honors for the winter season, including Rachel Kobel of the women's swimming and diving.

The winter championship sports include men's and women's basketball, men's squash, and men's and women's swimming and diving. To be recognized as a member of the All-Academic team a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20.

"The Liberty League takes great pride in the academic achievements of our student-athletes," said King. "The outstanding students who have qualified for the league's All-Academic Teams continue to demonstrate that it is possible to not only compete at the highest levels of Division III, but to also excel in the classroom."
