Rob Williams of Harvard, Mass., Named 2013 RIT College Delegate

2013 May 22

Rob Williams, son of Beth Williams and Doug Williams of Harvard, Mass., was chosen as the 2013 graduate college delegate for Rochester Institute of Technology's B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. Rob received a Master of Science degree in information technology during RIT's commencement ceremonies May 17–19.

Each of RIT's colleges selects one or more student representative to participate in the Academic Convocation and college commencement ceremonies. The delegates' overall personal achievement demonstrates the ideals of RIT, including but not limited to academic achievement. During Academic Convocation, college delegates accept degrees on behalf of their colleges' graduates during the symbolic conferral of degrees. Each college delegate speaks at his or her college commencement ceremony.

Rochester Institute of Technology is internationally recognized for academic leadership in business, computing, engineering, imaging science, liberal arts, sustainability, and fine and applied arts. RIT enrolls nearly 18,000 full- and part-time students in more than 200 career-oriented and professional programs, and its cooperative education program is one of the oldest and largest in the nation.
