Sierra Valentine named Liberty League Softball Pitcher of the Week

Sierra Valentine of the RIT softball team was named the Liberty League Softball Pitcher of the Week on Monday, for the week ending April 3, 2016. It is Valentine's first honor of the season.

Valentine was nearly untouchable, allowing just two hits and an unearned run, while striking out 11 batters to pick up her team-leading fourth victory of the season in a 4-1 win over Keuka on Wednesday. She now has 51 strikeouts in 37 innings pitched this season, with opponents hitting just .225 against her.
