Tara Lynch named to USBWA Rochester Area Division II-III Team

Tara Lynch of the RIT women's basketball team was named to the 2015-16 United States Basketball Writer's Association (USBWA) Rochester Area Division II and III Teams. Lynch was a first team selection and named Rookie of the Year.

Lynch finished second on the team and was eighth in the Liberty League in scoring, averaging 14.7 points per game. She set a program record for highest field goal percentage in a season, hitting 50.7 percent of her shots from the floor. Lynch scored in double figures 21 times, including a season-high 25 points on Jan. 19 versus William Smith. She averaged 6.3 rebounds per game, and had three double-doubles in 2015-16.
