William J. Prentice of Pittsford, N.Y., Named as RIT Distinguished Alumnus

ROCHESTER, NY (03/26/2013)(readMedia)-- William J. Prentice of Pittsford, N.Y., is the recipient of a 2013 Rochester Institute of Technology Distinguished Alumni Award.

Prentice, who graduated from RIT in 1999 with a degree in business administration finance, owns Prentice Wealth Management LLC, overseeing whole-family accounts focused on disciplined financial security and goal-based wealth management. He established an annual scholarship for first-generation college students and he serves on the Saunders College Alumni Advisory Board, chairing the annual golf tournament committee.

Each year, RIT's leaders select one graduate from each of the university's nine colleges who embodies the best of RIT. This year, nine distinguished alumni stand out among the more than 111,000 accomplished graduates for celebrating creativity and demonstrating a passionate performance in their profession.
