Congrats to RIT's 2022-2023 graduates!
Rochester Institute of Technology conferred more than 4,800 degrees at all of its campuses in the 2022-2023 academic year. RIT's academic convocation celebration was held in May and featured remarks by Thomas Zurbuchen, astrophysicist and the longest continually serving associate administrator for the Science Mission Directorate in NASA's history.

Performing Arts Scholarship
Since 2019, more than 1,400 RIT students have received Performing Arts Scholarships, renewable for up to five years, as long as the students stay involved in performing arts. The students come from each of RIT's nine colleges, with the majority from engineering and computer sciences.

RIT has been honoring students for this award since 1964 as a way to recognize students who were able to find the balance between academic success and student engagement. Students have been selected for this honor based upon having GPAs over 3.4, and holding significant leadership positions within RIT-related activities. All award recipients are graduating in 2021.

Rochester Institute of Technology conferred more than 4,000 degrees at all of its campuses in the 2020-2021 academic year. Due to New York state COVID-19 occupancy restrictions, commencement was celebrated May 14-15 in smaller ceremonies by college and were live-streamed for graduates' family and friends.

Keegan Evans named to prestigious Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program
RIT student Keegan Evans will take his place this summer among a group of young Air Force officers from around the globe who have been selected for the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training program. The RIT Air Force ROTC cadet was selected from among hundreds of ROTC students for one of the U.S. Air Force's most elite flight training programs.

Pandemic inspires student to create interactive narrative game about isolation
In a new game created by RIT student Sean Arnold '20 (game design and development), players must navigate paranoia and loneliness in order to make it off an isolated ship alive. Sean was inspired by his experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic to create an interactive narrative game called The Peresmeshnik.

Ailene Lung receives NRS Scholarship
Ailene Lung has received RIT's Nathaniel Rochester Society Scholarship, a merit-based scholarship created in 1991 to recognize undergraduate students for their outstanding academic and leadership achievements. More than 100 scholarships are awarded each year by the NRS Scholarship Committee, and the scholarship is available to students who have achieved second-year standing at RIT with a GPA of 3.4 or higher.

RIT student video game wins Best in Show at Boston Festival of Indie Games
The Gristmill, a digital card game created by RIT students, won Best in Show and Best Student Game at the Boston Festival of Indie Games, held Sept. 14. To win the top prize, the RIT game beat out more than 40 selected digital games, including indie projects created by professionals.

RIT esports team wins Grand Championship
RIT is silencing the doubters, winning its second Collegiate Starleague Dota 2 Grand Finals Championship April 28. The student team bested a bracket of North America's 32 top universities to take home the $10,000 grand prize.
